My name is Clayton Stokum, and I founded Alpha Behavior Strategies after spending many years working in the special needs community and noticing a question that came up again and again from individuals and families: “What happens next when school is over?”

About Me

For many people, the support systems that exist during school years suddenly become much harder to find once adulthood begins. I saw talented, capable individuals who simply needed the right guidance, structure, and encouragement to move forward—but too often they were left without a clear path.
That’s what inspired me to start Alpha Behavior Strategies.
I believe people with special needs deserve the same opportunities as anyone else. They deserve respect, purpose, meaningful relationships, and the chance to build a life they’re proud of—not pity or charity. One of the things I value most in my work is the ability to recognize the strengths and hidden talents in people, sometimes before they even see those strengths in themselves.
My goal has always been to help individuals discover those abilities and turn them into real opportunities—whether that means building life skills, gaining confidence, finding meaningful employment, or taking the next step in their career.
Through Alpha Behavior Strategies, we support individuals in becoming the best version of themselves. That may include guidance with resumes, job searches, interview preparation, or simply helping someone build the confidence they need to pursue their goals.
Every day, I work with a vision of a stronger and more inclusive society—one where individuals are supported, empowered, and given the opportunity to grow, contribute, and succeed.

The LifeReady Workshop from Alpha Behavior Strategies helps adolescents develop the skills they need to succeed in daily life and prepare for future employment. Through structured sessions, participants learn communication, time management, money skills, workplace behavior, and self-advocacy.
Our program uses interactive learning, games, and real-world practice to make skill-building engaging and meaningful.
